LiveLean Challenge Phase Two
Welcome to phase II of the Live Lean Challenge
Congratulations on a successful 14 days. My hope is that this challenge has provided the support you needed to kick start healthy habits for sustainable weight loss and optimal health. Here are our guidelines for the next 14 days. If you are just joining us welcome; please read the LiveLean Challenge Phase one to review our overall goals and get up to speed.
We start Saturday night June 14th at 11:59 pm
Here are some reminders and guidelines to navigate the next 2 weeks.
1. Keep away from sugar and sugar substitutes:
This includes pastries, sodas, candied nuts, and all candy; especially those candies disguised as protein bars. Sugar causes a rapid spike in your insulin levels preventing you from burning fat. All processed sugar acts as a toxin in the body which eventually suppresses your immune system.
2. Eat every 2 to 4 hours:
This will help to stimulate your metabolism, balance blood sugar and control your huger cravings so that you don't over eat.
3. Proper Portion Size:
Use your hand as your guide. Your protein source should be the size and thickness as the palm of your hand. Your carbohydrates servings should be no bigger than your fist.
4. Eat Your Vegetable:
Consume a variety of different vegetables at every opportunity possible and at every meal. Vegetables provide antioxidants and essential minerals to your body to regulate your metabolism, detox your body and enhance your metabolism to stimulate fat loss.
5. Plan ahead:
The hardest part of eating well is not knowing what to eat, it is creating habits in your day and weeks to have healthy food available when it is time to eat! As you have experienced form phase one it is impossible to eat well if you don't plan ahead. Let's continue to do this through phase two.
